Master Suite Addition
Architect William (Rennie) Boyd and Designer Connie of Mariottini Interiors designed this great space The homeowners Rob and Shirley have been fortunate to do a lot of traveling and have used that experience to learn exactly what appeals to them. For the Master suite remodel they wanted an airy space where relaxation is first priority. Connie created a Master suite that works beautifully and is indeed very soothing, with the spacious walk-in shower, the large soaking tub that takes in the garden views and the high ceiling in the Master bedroom
Interior Scope of work:Vault the ceiling in the bedroom. Gut the bathroom to the studs, cantilever an addition over the soil (Environmental restriction because of the presence of the Zayante June beetle. The remodel continued down the hall and eventually spread to include the living room and a partial remodel of the kitchen. That's the problem with remodeling one area, everything else begins to look old next to the new :)
Features: Vaulted ceiling in Bedroom and over shower area. A walk in shower with skylight overhead creates dramatic natural lighting. Large windows surround the sunken tub under mount tub. Porcelain and stone tiles in numerous sizes and finishes accent the spaces including the linen storage, shower and tub deck. The fully mirrored wall reflects the art glass and bronze vertical light scones.Contemporary wenge wood dark espresso cabinets with grain matched fronts from Alison at SCKB, with Kosmos Schist stone with antiqued Leather finish. Custom tile surface linen tower with flush mounted drawer and door faces.
