Radius Stairs
As you can see from the pictures this patio landing was part of a "much larger" remodel. For this stairway we wanted to ease the transition from the elevated back door (4 feet) into the backyard. We did this by creating a wide upper landing and using an easy 6" tread height. We then put radius transitions on both ends of the stairway enabling people to exit the house and go any direction on the property. The landing and stairs were skinned out with an inexpensive multi colored slate.
