Contemporary Remodel Interior
We collaborted on this project with our long time client Laura. She buys properties that she deems have "potential". She explained her vision and together we came up with a design and material selections that brought her vision to life.
The existing interior was a bare bones exposed cement block structure with zero character or charm. It was being used as a rental with separate living quarters upstairs and down. Now that its finished it is an open floor plan with a lot of cool design features that sets it apart from anything else in Santa Cruz. In fact, it is available as a Vacation rental. Interior Scope of work: Stripped the interior down to studs and bare masonry. Re-framed the interior to consolidate the Kitchen, Dining, and Living room into one giant Great room. The electrical, lighting, all windows and doors were upgraded and or replaced. We added a new bathroom and new laundry room to the floorplan. Removed the upstairs apartment and converted it into a master suite with an incredible bathroom.
Features: Cherry wood floors, clear story windows between rooms to create a larger feel and allow the flow of natural light throughout the home. Skylights that open to the deck above. All custom cabinetry and tile work. Old world plaster finish on all the walls.
